Author Guidelines
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Nursing Genius Journal (NGJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly (January, April, July, and October) by PT. Nursing Genius Care. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and case reports in all areas of nursing.

4. MANUSCRIPT FORMAT
4.1 Language
Manuscripts must be written in English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of both). Authors whose first language is not English are strongly advised to have their manuscripts professionally edited or proofread before submission.
4.2 Font and Spacing
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Spacing: 1.5 line spacing
- Margins: Left 4 cm, Right 2 cm, Top 3 cm, Bottom 2 cm
- Page size: A4
- Page numbers: Bottom center
4.3 Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
- Title Page
- Concise and informative title (max. 15 words)
- Full names of all authors
- Affiliations (department, institution, city, country)
- Corresponding author details (name, email, ORCID)
- Running title (max. 50 characters)
- Abstract
- Structured abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
- 250-300 words for research articles
- 150-200 words for case reports
- No references in abstract
- Keywords
- 3-6 keywords
- Use MeSH terms when applicable
- Introduction
- Background and rationale
- Clear statement of the problem
- Research objectives or questions
- Methods
- Study design
- Setting and participants
- Data collection procedures

5. REFERENCE STYLE
Nursing Genius Journal uses the APA 7th Edition referencing style.
5.1 In-Text Citations
- One author: (Smith, 2020) or Smith (2020)
- Two authors: (Smith & Jones, 2019) or Smith and Jones (2019)
- Three or more authors: (Smith et al., 2018)
- Multiple citations: (Smith, 2020; Jones, 2019; Brown, 2018)
5.2 Reference List Format

6. TABLES AND FIGURES
6.1 Tables
- Number tables consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.)
- Provide a clear, descriptive title above each table
- Use horizontal lines only (no vertical lines)
- Include footnotes below the table as needed
- Cite each table in the text
6.2 Figures
- Number figures consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.)
- Provide a clear caption below each figure
- Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI
- Formats: TIFF, JPEG, PNG, or EPS
- Cite each figure in the text
7. ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
7.1 Human Subjects Research
Research involving human subjects must have been approved by an appropriate institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee. The manuscript must include:
- Statement of ethics approval
- Name of the ethics committee
- Approval reference number
- Statement of informed consent
7.2 Animal Research
Research involving animals must have been conducted in accordance with institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals. The manuscript must include:
- Statement of ethics approval
- Name of the ethics committee
- Approval reference number
7.3 Clinical Trial Registration
Clinical trials must be registered in a public trials registry before enrollment of the first participant. The registry name and trial number must be included in the manuscript.
8. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
8.1 Files to Submit
- Cover letter
- Manuscript (Microsoft Word format)
- Title page (separate file)
- Blinded manuscript (without author identifiers)
- Figures (separate files, high resolution)
- Supplementary materials (if applicable)
8.2 Cover Letter
The cover letter should include:
- Confirmation that the manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Brief statement of the manuscript's significance
- Suggestion of potential reviewers (3-5 names with contact information)
- List of excluded reviewers (if any)
8.3 Author Information
Each author must provide:
- Full name
- Affiliation
- Email address
- ORCID iD (mandatory)
- Contribution to the manuscript
9. PEER REVIEW PROCESS
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process:
- Initial Editorial Assessment (1-2 weeks): The editorial team assesses the manuscript for scope, quality, and adherence to guidelines.
- Peer Review (3-4 weeks): Manuscripts that pass initial assessment are sent to at least two independent reviewers.
- Editorial Decision (1 week): Based on reviewer recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes a decision:
- Accept
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
- Revision (2-4 weeks): Authors revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments.
- Final Decision (1 week): The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision.
10. COPYRIGHT AND LICENSING
Authors retain copyright of their work. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
11. PLAGIARISM POLICY
All submissions are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with more than 25% similarity will be rejected. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work.
