Peer Review Process

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The decision to publish an article relies on an editorial evaluation and peer review. Initially, an editorial committee, comprised of members of the editorial team, evaluates all articles. The primary objective is to determine whether a paper should undergo peer review and to provide a swift decision for those that do not. Rejection is determined by the originality or relevance to the scope of this journal.

Initial Editorial Assessment

The Journal of Genius Health and Pharmaceutical Research (JGHPR) is committed to expediting the publication process by means of a swift preliminary evaluation executed by an editorial committee composed of members from the editorial team. The primary objective is to deliberate on the suitability of forwarding the manuscript for scholarly peer review or rejecting it outright. The key considerations encompass the alignment with the journal's scope, adherence to guidelines, and linguistic quality. Occasionally, authors may receive their manuscript back with revision requests, facilitating editors in determining whether it merits further review. Authors can anticipate the outcome of the Initial Editorial Assessment within 1-2 weeks following the submission.

Review Process

After passing the Initial Editorial Assessment, the article will be sent to peer-reviewers. The peer-review process involves at least two reviewers for each manuscript selected based on their expertise. All reviewing processes are conducted using a double-blind review, meaning the authors and peer-reviewers do not know each other’s identities. The reviewers should complete the review within three weeks in each reviewing round after the review request was sent.

Decision-Making Process

The decision to accept a manuscript for publication is based on the peer reviewers' recommendations. At least two acceptance recommendations are required for a manuscript to be accepted. If there is a difference in the two reviewers’ recommendations, the editor has the right to seek the consideration of a third reviewer. The final decision to publish is made by the editor-in-chief and the editorial committee (national or international advisory board) based on the reviewers' advice.

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY

The Journal of Genius Health and Pharmaceutical Research (JGHPR) is published two times a year (January and July).
