Background: Ischemic stroke accounts for approximately 87% of all stroke cases, making it the most prevalent subtype compared with hemorrhagic stroke. The Indonesian Neurological Association recommends the use of antihypertensive therapy in patients with ischemic stroke.
Purpose: This study aimed to quantify the utilization of antihypertensive drugs using the Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical/Defined Daily Dose (ATC/DDD) methodology in ischemic stroke inpatients at Koja District Hospital, Jakarta, between January and December 2022.
Methods: A descriptive, retrospective design was employed, reviewing the medical records of 114 ischemic stroke inpatients who met the inclusion criteria. Data collected included sociodemographic characteristics, antihypertensive drug utilization, and DU-90% profiling. Data analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel.
Results: Over the study period, the total length of stay was 633 patient-days. The highest consumption in DDD/100 patient-days was observed for amlodipine (57.78), followed by captopril (27.99), candesartan (13.14), and ramipril (4.36). Other agents showed lower levels of utilization. The DU-90% segment consisted of amlodipine, captopril, candesartan, and ramipril.

Conclusion: Amlodipine, captopril, candesartan, and ramipril were the primary drugs within the DU-90% utilization segment. These findings provide important insights for formulary management and rational drug use in ischemic stroke therapy.

Background: Self-medication is done as a form of minimizing complaints that do not require medical examination, minimizing the burden on health services. Self-medication is generally done to treat minor complaints such as common cold. Providing education is intended to increase knowledge of common cold self-medication. Objective: This study was to determine the effect of education on the level of knowledge of high school students of Ar Ridwan Islamic Boarding School about pre and post-education common cold self-medication. Methods: This research is a non-experimental descriptive study of data collection with a one group pre test - post test design, using a questionnaire. The number of samples was 57 respondents, the data obtained were then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Rank Test. Results: The study showed that the characteristics of respondents in the most female gender (53%), the most age 17-19 years (56%), the most class XI (58%) and the most science majors (44%). The results of respondents' knowledge before education had a poor category (60%), after education there was an increase to a good category (82%) in all respondents. The value of the Wilcoxon Rank Test results obtained is significant 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion: This study shows the effect of education on the level of knowledge of high school students of Ar Ridwan Islamic Boarding School about self-medication of common cold.

<dc:description xml:lang="en">Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive and irreversible end-stage renal disease or impairment of kidney function. Hyperphosphatemia is an independent predictor of cardiovascular disease and death in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease (stages 4 and 5) and is caused by impaired renal excretion of phosphate. Serum phosphate is usually managed with oral phosphate binders along with dietary phosphate restriction. Method: Descriptive with retrospective data collection using patient medical record data from July 2020 to December 2022 in the medical record room at Private Hospital X Semarang Results: The results of data analysis showed that 30 patients met the inclusion criteria. The results showed the accuracy of the use of phosphate binder drugs in chronic kidney failure patients, namely 100% correct patient, 100% correct indication, 100% correct drug, 100% correct dose in accordance with the literature. Conclusion: The pattern of phosphate binder use at Private Hospital X Semarang is in accordance with the literature</dc:description>

<dc:description xml:lang="en">Background : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from abnormalities in insulin secretion or action. The high prevalence of type 2 DM has become a major global health concern, necessitating economic evaluations to assess the cost burden of treatment. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the direct medical costs associated with outpatient management of type 2 DM at Mustika Medika Hospital. Method: A descriptive, retrospective design was employed using medical record data of patients treated between January and December 2020. Results: The results showed that the average direct medical costs were IDR 410,429 for glimepiride, IDR 393,130 for metformin, IDR 281,700 for acarbose, and IDR 628,065 for combination therapy with metformin and glimepiride. The highest cost was observed in combination therapy (IDR 628,065), whereas the lowest cost was associated with acarbose therapy (IDR 281,700). Conclusion: These findings provide valuable insights into the economic aspects of type 2 DM pharmacotherapy, which may support healthcare providers and policymakers in optimizing treatment strategies.</dc:description>

Lipstick is one of the decorative cosmetics used as a colorant on the lips. Purpose: The aim of the study was to formulate and to evaluate lipstick products using Buni fruit extract as a natural colorant. Method: The extract was obtained by maceration using 96% ethanol. Lipstick formulations were developed with three varying concentrations of ethanol buni fruit extract: F1 (8%), F2 (12%), and F3 (16%). The lipstick formulations were evaluated for organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, melting point, spreadability, stability, and irritation. Results: All lipstick formulations exhibited a distinct Buni fruit ectract aroma, homogeneous with purple color appearance. The pH values of lipstick F1, F2 and F3 were 6.30; 4.06; and 5.74, respectively, melting point of 60°C within 15 minutes. Stability test at 5° C, 28°C and 40° C temperatures for 1 month showed all of lipstick formulas were stable during storage. Patch test on the volunteers showed no signs of skin irritation for all formula. Conclusion: This research demonstrated that Buni fruit can be used as a natural colorant for lipstick preparations.</dc:description>
